Here are the plans for the rest of the month:
This week we are talking about communication and transportation differences between long ago and today. On Monday we will begin a mini-unit on Thanksgiving. The following week is only a two-day week. We will watch the Kitt Kittredge movie. It takes place during the depression but offers an awesome, wholesome kids' perspective. This will also allow students to see daily life during this era. Also, each year the kindergarten classes rotate teachers. Each of the four teachers has an activity that relates to Thanksgiving (such things as planting corn and making butter). On Tuesday, we will end this unit with our annual Thanksgiving feast. We have a lot of fun and learning in store for the next two weeks! Keep an eye for pictures!
